Arizona Inmate Frank Atwood’s Execution 

For the 1984 kidnapping and murder of 8-year-old Vicki Lynne Hoskinson, Frank Jarvis Atwood, 66, was executed by lethal injection.

Atwood was put to death at 10:16 a.m., according to Attorney General Mark Brnovich.

Witnesses claim he never acknowledged Vicki Lynne’s family or expressed regret for the acts for which he was condemned to death. At 10:10 a.m., he was subdued, and by 10:16 a.m., he was lifeless.

Furthermore, Atwood’s priest was in the execution room with him, according to media witness Bud Foster, a first for the state. He went on to say that this was “perhaps the calmest” execution he has ever seen.

When authorities looked up the license plates on the automobile, they discovered it was registered to Atwood, who was on parole at the time for kidnapping and child molestation crimes.

Ten days after Hoskinson’s abduction, Atwood was arrested for kidnapping charges. Additionally, Hoskinson’s body was discovered seven months later, thrown 20 miles distant in a desert location.
