Big E, whose real name is Ettore Ewen, is an American professional wrestler born on March 1, 1986, in Tampa, Florida.

World Wrestling Entertainment’s SmackDown brand presently employs him. The current Smackdown Tag Team Champions are Ewen and Xavier Woods.

According to a professional sports doctor, Big E’s fractured neck should drive the WWE superstar into retirement.

Fans were anxious for the former WWE Champion’s safety, as it was eventually revealed that he had broken his neck. Thankfully, Big E confirmed in a Twitter video yesterday that he will not require surgery and that no damage to his spinal cord has occurred.

Big E’s recovery will be difficult, as a broken neck is no laughing matter, and a sports doctor has stated that he may never be able to wrestle again.

According to Pro Football Doc, David Chao disclosed that he broke his C1 and C6 and that this is a severe injury. When it comes to the C1, Chao says the wound doesn’t always heal fully, and if that occurs to Big E, he may have to retire.

Sheamus and Ridge vs. Big E and Kofi Kingston The episode of WWE SmackDown on Friday was kicked off by Holland. During the bout, Holland hit Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex outside the ring. Instead of fully rotating to his back, Big E took the bump square on the top of his head.

After falling to the ground, Big E appeared to be hurt and lay unmoving. According to commentator Michael Cole, medical workers were attending to the member of New Day.

Big E posted a video on social media confirming the catastrophic injuries he had sustained while assuring everyone that he was well.

Fans in attendance captured footage of Big E being stretchered away during the game. We are sure the superstar was injured during that match because WWE did not release footage of him being stretchered out.

After a brief hospital stint for a fractured neck, Big E is back at home.

Andre Smith, a Birmingham native, tweeted Big E and offered to assist him with everything he needed while in town for treatment. Big E replied, revealing that he was already back in Tampa, Florida.
