He began his directorial career in the early 1970s. His first film was The Art of Marriage. While editing Together, Sean met his co-producer and director Wes Craven. He and Craven collaborated on Wes’s directorial debut in 1972, the exploitation film The Last House on the Left, which Cunningham produced.
