BET’s Holiday Hideaway is premiering this thanksgiving with casts, Camille Winbush, Vivica A. Fox and Novi Brown.
The comedy-drama follows holiday queen Carly, whose mistletoe misstep sends her into a hideaway. There she learns the significance of family, forgiveness, and fighting for love.
The movie had a Los Angeles premiere last night in attendance of their top cast and directors sauntering down the red carpet. It was a wonderful celebration for a fun heartwarming holiday movie.

BET Holiday Hideaway Has Excellent Cast and Crew
Holiday Hideaway’s top cast includes Camille Winbush, Vivica A. Fox, Novi Brown, Leonard Earl Howze, Rodney Van Johnson, Reggie Hayes, Ella Joyce, and Dan Martin.
Here’s what you need to know these cast members.
1. Camille Winbush as Carly
Born on February 9, 1990, as Camille Simoine Winbush, the American actress hails from Culver City, California, US. She is the only child of parents Anthony and Alice Winbush.
Winbush was a competitive gymnast in her childhood and had even opened an ice cream parlor called Baked Ice in Pasadena, CA as a teen. Aside from acting, she is also a great singer and pianist.
Winbush had also starred in a short-lived sitcom, Minor Adjustments, as Emma Aimes. However, She made her acting debut in the 1994 television series, Vipers, playing Lucy Wilkes.
Her character Carly is the leading woman in Holiday Hideaway.
2. Vivica A. Fox as Angela
Vivica Anjanetta Fox is an actress and television host. The South Bend, Indiana, Native was born on July 30, 1964, to Everlyena, a pharmaceutical technician, and William Fox, a school administrator.
Vivica attended Arlington High School in Indianapolis and later moved to California for college. She graduated from Golden West College in Huntington Beach with an AA degree in Social Sciences.
Playing Jasmine Dubrow, Will Smith’s girlfriend, in Roland Emmerich’s epic science fiction Independence Day was a career breakthrough for the actress. In F. Gary Gray’s Set It Off, she played Francesca “Frankie” Sutton opposite Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Kimberly Elise.
3. Novi Brown as Winnie
Actress Novi Brown plays Angela in BET Plus movie Holiday Hideaway. Recently she appeared in the 19th season of CBS’s police procedural television series NCIS as Olive Miller in the episode Starting Over.
Brown was also featured in the 2019 romance thriller, Sleeping with My Student, playing the role of Megan. Directed by Tom Shell, the movie had Brown, Gina Holden, Jessica Belken, and Mitchell Hoog playing leads.
Holiday Hideaway is not the only holiday-themed movie of Brown to release this year. She also starred in BET’s other Christmas lineup, The First Noelle, alongside Todd Anthony and Lala Milan.
4. Leonard Earl Howze as George
Leonard Earl Howze is an American actor born on April 26, 1977, in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his debut role as Dinka in Barbershop and the film’s sequel, Barbershop 2: Back in Business.
The LA native is an alumnus of the renowned Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the State University of New York Purchase.
5. Rodney Van Johnson as Martin
Rodney Van Johnson was born in the 60s in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from University of Cincinnati with an education degree, and is instated in the university’s hall of fame.
According to his IMDB profile , he is a spokesman and research advocate for the National Familial Pancreatic Tumor Registry at John Hopkins Hospital.
The sopa actor is single father to three boys Quincy, Alexis and Josh. His more recent projects including Holiday Hideaway, are Kym, LACE, and The Magic, the former three releasing in 2022.
6. Reggie Hayes as Rufus
Reginald C Hayes is the actor from the 2000’s UPN/CW show Girlfriends. He won the 2005 and 2006 NAACP Image Awards in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in Comedy Series category for his role as Dent on the show.
The actor is also a screenwriter and director, born on July 15, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois. He has been professionally acting since 1996 and has done several films and TV since then.
7. Ella Joyce as Rose
American Actress Ella Joyce was born Cherron Hoye on June 12, 1954. The actress is an Illinois, Chicago native, raised in Detroit, Michigan.
Ella started her career by doing theatre. She played the role of Risa at the Yale world premiere production of Two Trains Running and played Lily Ann Green in Crumbs from the Table of Joy, which won her a Jefferson Award.
Ella also works as a personal acting coach and consultant. She is also the author of Kink Phobia, Journey Through a Black Woman’s Hair.
Holiday Hideaway is all set to spread its holiday magic with an amazing all-black cast. BET’s latest Christmas special, was written by Sharon Brathwaite-Sanders.
Sharon also produced the movie, alongside Maika Saint-Albin and Lamese Williams. While Natasha Ward served as the casting director.
Cinematographer John Orphan was responsible for recording the film, and Anitra Michelle looked over costume design for the whole movie’s cast.
