Maxi Rolón Accident: How It Happened

Former Barcelona youth academy product Maxi Rolon has died aged 26 after he got involved in a ghastly car accident in Rosario, Argentina.

Rolon played in Barcelona’s youth academy between 2010 and 2016.

How Did Maxi Rolon’s Accident Happen?

The ghastly accident occurred when the vehicle Rolon was travelling in lost control and ended up crashing into a tree.

Maxi Rolon and his brother, Ariel who was 30 years, died upon impact.

The Catalan giants issued a statement via Twitter announcing Rolon’s death and also sent full support to his family.

FC Barcelona tweeted;

“We are dismayed by the death of Maxi Rolon (1995), a FC Barcelona youth football player from 2010 to 2016.”

“We express our deepest condolences and send full support to his family. Rest in peace.”

Rolon joined Barcelona’s academy at the age of 10.

Rolon remained at the club until January 2016, when he terminated his contract.

Rolon, a left winger played in all of the Blaugrana’s age groups before reaching Barcelona B.

Rolon’s best moment at Barcelona was undoubtedly when he won the league and the UEFA Youth League with the under-19s.
