List of Distance Learning Universities in Nigeria

A distance learning course can be simply referred to as an educational program that runs remotely. This means that students in this program can complete some or all of their coursework without having to be physically present in a classroom on any campus.

Distance learning university programs are a viable alternative to the traditional mode of university programs. Most distance learning centres allow students to have lectures online and come in for assessments or examinations while they offer the same degree that traditional university graduates receive at the end of the program.

Students of distance learning centres are also exempted from the mandatory one-year youth service upon graduation. The advantages provided by this program are enormous. It is very convenient for workers and others who need to work with flexible learning schedules.

Not all Nigerian universities have distance-learning institutes accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). This article gathers the list of universities accredited by the National Universities Commission to run a Distance Learning centre and other information you will need to know about distance learning courses.
