John Kavanagh (actor) children: Meet Rachel Kavanagh

Irish actor John Kavanagh has appeared on stage, in over 20 movies, including Cal (1984), Braveheart (1995), and Alexander (2004), as well as in a number of television shows. His honors include being a 1989 Drama Desk Award finalist for Outstanding Actor in a Play for his performance in Juno and the Paycock.

In 1970’s Irish comedy Paddy, John Kavanagh made his acting debut as Willie Egan, a bit part. He was cast in The McKenzie Break, a British war drama movie released in DeLuxe Color that same year.

Kavanagh made his television debut in 1984 as Colonel Brian Dillon in the dramatized series Caught in a Free State. He was a character in the Irish drama movie Cal that same year.
