As a child, she participated in track and field, cross-country running, full-contact boys’ hockey, soccer, and other sports.

Less than ten days after helping Canada win the bronze medal at the Olympic Games, the football player participated in her first game on August 28 and scored twice in a 4-3 loss to Florida.

Moreover, Fleming was chosen for the NSCAA All-America third team in 2016, making her one of just two freshmen to receive the honor.

She received first-team honors for the NSCAA All-Pacific Region, All-Pac-12, and All-Freshman teams and was named the Top Drawer Soccer Freshman of the Year.
