CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker, has 3 sons and a daughter together with his ex-wife Caryn Zucker.
His eldest son, Andrew Zucker, served on the advisory board of Waywire video-sharing site. At the time he was 15 years old (in 2013). He resigned hours after it was revealed that he had been granted stock options in the firm co-founded by Booker.
In 1996, Zucker married Caryn who was then a supervisor for Saturday Night Live.
Diagnosed at ages 31 and 34 with colon cancer, Zucker successfully underwent surgery twice and chemotherapy after the first surgery. In July 2018, Zucker took a six-week leave of absence from CNN to recover from heart surgery.
Zuckerberg announced Wednesday morning that he has resigned from his position effective immediately.
Zucker’s stunning announcement came less than two months after he fired prime time anchor Chris Cuomo for improperly advising his brother, then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, about how to address sexual misconduct allegations.
Under Zucker, CNN adopted a “Facts First” slogan and approach to the news. Zucker also became a regular boogeyman in right-wing media, with Fox hosts viciously attacking him in prime time.
