No, J Cole is not dead. He appears to be a victim of yet another celebrity death hoax circulating on the internet.

The 38-year-old is alive and well. Contrary to the speculations, Cole is active and releasing new music.
Much to the surprise of his fans, he recently dropped a new song titled “Procrastination (Broke).” He says he found the beat by searching “J. Cole type beat” on YouTube.
Further, he let that producer drop the song on his channel. The cover art is Cole’s text to the producer.
The producer, Bvtman, has a channel that includes beats that pay homage to artists like J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, 21 Savage, Drake, Nipsey Hussle, and more.
Once Cole heard the “Procrastination” beat, he got out of his funk and began writing.
Bvtman recalled the moment he was driving on the highway when he randomly got a text message from Ibrahim “IB” Hamad, Cole’s longtime manager, a moment he describes as unbelievable.
