Taylor Heinicke is an American football quarterback for the Washington Football Team of the National Football League (NFL).
Taylor Heinicke was born on March 15, 1993, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. He played football at Collins Hill High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He later played for the Old Dominion Monarchs football team from 2011 to 2014 after accepting an athletic scholarship to attend Old Dominion University (ODU) in 2011.
Taylor Heinicke signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent after he went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft. He has been a member of the NFL’s New England Patriots, Houston Texans, and Carolina Panthers.
Taylor Heinicke was a reserve quarterback for the St. Louis BattleHawks of the XFL in 2020. He signed with the practice squad of the Washington Football Team on December 8, 2020, Heinicke and later signed a two-year, $4.75 million contract extension with the team in February 2021.
