René Duprée, whose real name is René Goguen, is a Canadian professional wrestler currently signed to Pro Wrestling Noah1. He was born on December 15, 1983, in Moncton, New Brunswick1. Duprée is the son of Emile Duprée, a Canadian Maritimes wrestling promoter12.
Duprée began his wrestling career in 1996 and signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in April 2002 at the age of 18, making him the youngest wrestler to sign with the WWF at that time.
He debuted under the ring name René Duprée and teamed up with various wrestlers in dark matches on SmackDown! and Raw. In June 2003, Duprée and Sylvain Grenier formed the tag team La Résistance and won the World Tag Team Championship from Kane and Rob Van Dam at Bad Blood, which made him (Duprée) the youngest wrestler in WWE history to win a championship at 19 years old. He held this distinction until April 2018 when Nicholas won the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 34.
Duprée has also worked for Japanese promotions such as All Japan Pro Wrestling, Wrestle-1, and Hustle1.
He is currently signed to Pro Wrestling Noah where he is a former two-time GHC Tag Team Champion. Throughout his career, Duprée has wrestled alongside notable wrestlers such as André the Giant, Randy Savage, Harley Race, Ric Flair, and many others.
