Danielle Bux

Danielle Bux is a Welsh actress and model best recognized as an ex-wife of former England footballer and current sports broadcaster Gary Lineker. 

Born to her parents, Kim and Roy, Bux grew up in Cardiff and attended Cantonian High School. 

Her grandfather came to Cardiff after the second world war in Pakistan and married her grandmother, who was Irish.

Her career so far 

After completing A-levels, Danielle was provided an opportunity to represent the UK in Miss Hawaiian tropic, from where she started grabbing several modeling assignments. 

But she was passionate about acting more and attended acting classes at Guildhall, London. 

She made her acting debut in 2011 in Calendar Girls at the Bristol Hippodrome. In 2013, she featured in the hit BBC One’s Drama Silent Witness and in the film We Are the Freaks.

She further appeared in the football film Kicking OFF and in the crime TV series Aquarius. 

In 2019, she starred alongside Sarah Hyland (of the modern family) in the comedy movie The Wedding Year.

Not wanting to have children tore their seven years of marriage apart

Danielle and Gary started dating in 2007 after being set up on a blind date and eventually exchanged wedding vows on the 2nd of September 2009 in Ravello, Italy. 

But after seven years of their marriage, they announced their split, and the reason was Gary. 

Gary did not want to have more children, but Danielle wanted to have. According to Gary, he felt too old to have children. 

Gary is already the father of his four grown-up children, Tobias, Angus, George, and Harry whom he shares with his ex-wife Michelle Cockayne. 

He divorced Michelle after two decades of their marriage.

She is still in touch with her ex-husband

Despite separating from Gary, she is still in touch with her ex-husband and is on good terms. 

Gary admitted talking to his ex Danielle three times a day and texting all the time. 

Danielle stayed at his place when she was in London, and him seeing Danielle whenever he was in Los Angeles. 

Recently on her 42nd birthday, Gary wished her calling her a special lady, posting a picture of them which reminisced their past days. 

Gary still gets fashion tips from Danielle. He stated Danielle has a great fashion sense and guides him even these days. 

She is always there to give him another opinion that he likes to get.

Moved on with her now-husband

Shortly after moving to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career, Danielle started dating her now-husband, an American lawyer Nate Greenwald. 

In November 2019, Danielle confirmed her marriage to Greenwald in the Summer of 2018 in a secret ceremony amid friends and family in Nantucket, Massachusetts, sharing throwback pictures of her marriage via her Instagram.

She became a mom for the second time after 15 years

Danielle is the proud mother of her two daughters, Ella and Romy Wren. Her eldest daughter Ella, 20, is from her previous relationship. 

After getting married to Greenwald, she announced expecting her first child with Greenwald in February 2017 and in August welcomed her second daughter, Romy Wren. 

Romy was 8.5 lbs at the time of her birth. To become a mom after 15 years break was exciting as well as tough, as described by Danielle. 

According to her, having to give birth is much harder the older you get. She also said that her elder daughter helps her a lot in looking after her younger sister Romy if she isn’t at school. 

As a mother, she wants to be her daughters’ role model and wants them to see that women can kick ass and do what they want.
