D’Angelo Danté Russell also known as DLo, pronounced Dee-low is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
He was selected as a McDonald’s All-American in 2014 and played college basketball for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was the Los Angeles Lakers second overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Playing point guard, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team with the Lakers in 2016.
He was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2017 and received his first All-Star selection in 2019. In the 2019 off-season, he joined the Golden State Warriors via a sign-and-trade deal and was then traded to the Timberwolves at the 2020 trade deadline.

Russell was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to Antonio Russell and Keisha Rowe. The parents have 5 children including D’Angelo namely Antonio Russell, Lashaun Gilliam, Tayshaun Brown and Cloee Russell.
According to the authorities involved here, D’Angelo Russell’s father, Antonio Russell, was stopped at the airport under suspension of a fake itinerary on March 12th. When asked to see his bag, drug agents found 2 stacks of money that had approximately $50,000 in cash underneath 4 empty bottles of codeine.
D’Angelo Russell is yet to speak out about what transpired between his father and the law. Meanwhile, said officers have seized Antonio’s money for the time being and have not pressed any criminal charges against him.
