Clive Myrie began his career at the BBC in 1987 as a trainee local radio reporter. He worked as a reporter for Radio Bristol and later joined Points West, BBC Television, and Radio News.

In 1996, he became a BBC foreign correspondent and has reported from over 80 countries. He has covered major events such as the impeachment of U.S. President Bill Clinton and the wars in Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
