Christopher Nupen Parents: Meet Buster Nupen

Christopher Nupen, a South African-born British filmmaker who specialized in music-related biographical documentaries, lived from 30 September 1934 to 19 February 2023.

Huw Weldon recruited him to make films for the BBC after he produced the 1962 BBC Radio Three documentary High Festival In Siena on the summer music program at the Academia Musicale Chigiana in Siena.

One of the first independent television production firms in the UK, Allegro Films, was formed by him in 1968.

Afterwards, he contributed to more than 80 musical films and television shows.

On February 19, 2023, Nupen passed away at the age of 88.

Between 1921–1922 and 1935–1936, Buster” Nupen, a cricketer for South Africa, participated in 17 Test matches.

He was born on January 1, 1902, and died on January 29, 1977.

He was born in Norway, lost an eye in an accident when he was young, and at the age of 20, while participating in the Rand Revolt, was shot through the legs.
