August’s brother, Travis La’Branch, is a well-known actor who has appeared in films such as Pas Honteux and Shots Fired. He is from New Orleans, Louisiana. When Travis was 13, his mother and siblings relocated to Houston, TX, where he attended Jack Yates Senior High School.

Travis excelled in all sports, particularly track & field and music. For two years, he was the head drum major in a show band. “2018 and 2019 have had their way with me. I believe I went through the most profound heartbreak of my life. Beginning with the demised and burial of my sister, @chachacha, whom I adore”, he stated. After Chandra passed away, August assumed parenting his nieces as if they were his kids.

August addressed Chandra in another Instagram post, saying, “Before you went, you begged me to watch after and nurture these daughters, and I guarantee you, I don’t even know where to begin. Now that he has three girls and is a dad, he has no idea where to start or what to do, but sadly, they are all too familiar with loss.
