Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to
apply for a Austrian Visa.
- Correctly filled and signed application form by the applicant is required.
- Original Libya passport with a validity of 6 months after exiting Austria.
- Passport should have at least one blank page for the visa stamp.
- 2 passport-sized photographs taken against a white background.
- A copy of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
- Round-trip flight reservations or a complete travel itinerary.
- A copy of a hotel reservation showing proof of accommodation in Austria.
- Bank statements from the previous 3 months showing that the applicant has funds that are enough for the duration of stay.
- Applicants are required to apply for visa 3 months before the date of departure.
- Applicants that are not up to 18 years are required to provide a copy of their original birth certificate and signed permission note from their parents or legal guardians.
- No vaccinations are required for travel to Austria.

Austria Tourist Visa Eligibility &
Requirements
- A tourist visa is issued to foreigners for the purposes of tourism, family visit or friends’ visit to Austria.
- An Austria tourist visa will be given to people who wish to travel and explore the country for tourism purposes.
- The tourist visa will be valid only for 90 days from the day of issue.
- Proof of accommodation during the entire stay in Austria.
- Proof of accommodation could be in the form of hotel reservations or letter of invitation indicating that the host in Austria will be accommodating the applicant.
- Travel/medical insurance for the whole duration of stay in Austria.
- A letter of invitation from the host in Austria should be provided.
- The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host, purpose, and duration of stay and the type of activities to be carried out by the applicant in Austria.
- The host in Austria could be the tour organization, friend or family member of the applicant.
- Applicants are expected to leave Austria at the expiration of this visa.
- Minors should provide a copy of the original copy of their birth certificate which carries both names of their parents and a signed consent note from parents or legal guardians.

Requirements
- A business visa is granted to foreigners who are planning to visit Austria for business-related purposes.
- A business visa allows foreigners to partake in business meetings and sign business contracts.
- You are required to provide a letter of invitation from the company in Austria you are meeting with.
- A letter from your employer in Libya allowing your business trip or stating the awareness of the applicant’s leave, duration, and purpose of leave to Austria.
- Evidence of intention to return to Libya which could be electricity bill or photocopies of property certificate.
- An invitation letter from the Austrian company should clearly state their detailed address and contact information alongside the applicants with travel dates.
- The invitation letter must also indicate the nature of the business to be carried out in Austria.
- Bank statement from the last 6 months.
- Documents of partnership with the business organization in Austria is required.
- It must be clearly stated if the applicant will be sponsored by the Libyan company or the Austrian company in the required business letters.
