Morgan Young is an American weekend reporter and general assignment multi-skilled journalist at 5 On Your Side in St. Louis. She joined the WSFA 12 News team in June 2016 as a general assignment reporter and anchor. Morgan will take over anchoring the Sunday edition of Today in Alabama.
Before relocating to the River Region, she spent two years as a reporter and anchor for KOMU 8 News, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri. At KOMU, Morgan covered social justice, local business as well as investigative health stories. She graduated with honors from the University of Missouri in May 2016 with a degree in broadcast journalism as well as minors in business and textile and apparel management.
During her time at Mizzou, Young served on the executive board of the National Association of Black Journalists, was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars as well as served as president of the Student Society of News Design.
