Laura Govan is an American actress and reality television star who gained popularity after appearing on Basketball Wives LA. Govan is the ex-fiancee of the professional basketball player, Gilbert Arenas.
As an actress, she is known for Almost Amazing (2017), JC Tha Barber (2017) and I Dream of Nene: The Wedding (2013).
Govan received a full scholarship to New Mexico State University where she then earned her Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in International Business. Upon her graduation, she was offered to be the head coach for Santa Clara University’s women’s basketball team. However, Govan declined the offer as she was pregnant. the pregnancy also prevented her from pursuing her Ph.D. at the time.
Laura runs her own clothing line and jewelry for women after pregnancy at Shop in Real Life. Govan has confessed that she lacked support from her own parents and she feels betrayed when she repeatedly tried to convince them that she was sexually assaulted by someone they knew.
