Textile Technology can be studied under the Arts & Humanities in the following Nigerian Universities;

  • Kaduna Polytechnic (KADPOLY)
  • Kano State polytechnic (KANOPOLY)
  • Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH)

Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements

In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Textile Technology under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above Universities include;

Mathematics and any two (2) of Geography, Physics, Economics or Chemistry

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

i)        KADPOLY requires any three (3) of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Clothing and Textile or Biology.

ii) YABATECH accepts Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.

 

 

O’Level Requirements

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Textile Technology;

You require;

Five (5) SSC credit passes in Mathematics and Chemistry and any three (3) of

Biology/Agricultural Science,

Physics,

English Language,

Geography,

Home Economics

History,

Economics/Commerce,

Government,

Clothing and Textile,

Fine Art,

Technical Drawing. At least credit passes in English Language and Physics are compulsory.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (WAIVER) REMARKS:

i) YABATECH requires five (5) O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any one (1) from the following: Biology/Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing/Fine Art, Statistics, Geography and Economics.
